I can voyage out
from this embattled colony of though,
to where you rise always, upon a moveless tide..
always as morning..
and without sight,
in a night of bleak, black demensions,
that cannot kill the brief splendor I knew
That forked fire on my bones...
weathered flames and the like.
From these raw, sad, inarticulate ghosts,
(the stunted statuary of my life..)
..you drew me past time and time's dull tyranny
in the harbor of a glance.
I enter quietly and weeping..
a small, secret song inside my skin
to where your shadowed smile finds me out
in a place full of ordinary mortals-
reading the unfolding of my fate,
within the fine, calligraphy of your veins,
long before I knew I was alive.. pulsing,
to High Art and most singular pain.
With a rage of bones, I called your voice
and Joy came.

A deep, sad and thought provoking piece of poetry. There is alot more going on between the lines. I hope u r ok my friend. For I sense pain and suffering with u.
May ur burdens be lifted from ur heart dearest Billy.
In ur poem it's like u have alot going on in ur life at the moment and there is a person who helps ease ur pain, but u can't be with them. I'm sorry if I interpreted ur poem wrong.
Otherwise a brillantly crafted masterpiece coming from one of my fav. writers.
Hugs from ur devoted fan,
Sue, Dreamer |

Bravo! I'm thoroughly a fan - I love the eloquence and hint of fire you can bring to a subject such as this. Your skill is improving too methinks, certainly this piece shows true skill for language and imagery, with such lines as "That forked fire on my bones...", and
With a rage of bones, I called your voice
and Joy came.
Great stuff, that! I enjoyed this work greatly.

Some see beyond space and time. Some die while they are still alive. Some hang on by a thread waiting for what? There is always that 'what', Billy. I believe if you tell your deepest wishes to a butterfly it will fly to the closest angel who will tell the Father and the wishes do sometimes come true. Keep wishing, happiness is not that hard to find. Relief in your soul is a possibility. Pain is you heart can be healed, my friend. Live while you are alive, Billy. It is such a short trip through life, don't waste it. Rita |

This is an emotion bearing write, and the feelings are very raw and real...It's an intense read, and probably (hopefully) felt good to get off your chest...
Good job.

Flow.......into the endless, Sometimes we feel we cant, yet we actually know its there in the heart , for a reason. yes, hurt can stop us.....yet if we dwell in the past, it will drag on. As, I have said, 2 times before.....the rays of sun can be healed.and they are there. Just open , seek and you have found.! Moving forward, and making the best works. Elegant write, of the heart....the soul is needing....let it find.! Well keep the find it has found

Oh my Billy. How postively mournful and forlorn.
"a small, secret song inside my skin" BRILLIANT line!
Actuallly it's FULL of brilliant lines, but that one in particular
I loved! Genius. There is no other way to say it.
As always, I am stupefied!
yours,
~Breezy |
