Both Sides Are Right...(Yeah Right!)

Both Sides Are Right (Yeah Right!)
What’s the real evil as we look around,
I don’t see atheists blazing a battleground,
Countless have been slain since the beginning of time,
Religions fight each other,
Killing those who don’t stay in line,
Simple ideas remain like a mountain peak,
Generations pick the God that they seek,
Be careful of your choice for it can send you your death,
Religious fanatics can’t wait to steal your breath,
They got bombs, planes, and assault rifles,
Pistols, blades, Quran’s, and Bibles,
Politicians in the game playing their war of words,
Using religion to make a name catapulting war birds,
Soldiers on both sides most don’t know why they fight,
Chaplin’s on the ground blessing fear in the night,
How is it Allah’s will to kill 3,000 innocent lives,
And why would God start a war based on greed and lies,
This is all I hear…in the name of so and so,
I have lost dear friends tell me where did they go,
What is the real evil that appears all around us,
Faith is supposed to uplift,
So why does it drown us,
Many have fought and more will die,
Both sides taking lives evil lives in their eyes,
I never saw an atheist bomb a town square,
And atheists do not highjack planes with terror,
This is an evil world we live in,
So be careful of the things you teach your children,
I really don’t know how to process religion,
Maybe priests are guards for the prison we live in.

Acts 10:38

Jesus went through the country helping.. everyone...who was beaten down by the devil.

Blaming someone or something is not new. It all started with the first book, Genesis, telling us about the first fight in the first family between the first two brothers.

Since then we have wrestled with the same issue. Why, because we are all from the same gene pool. Cain attacked and killed his brother Able. Cain's spirit is still around today. That is what makes us forget we all have the same blood in our veins and act on our competitive, jealous, angry impulses. Oh yes, sometimes it masquerades as courtesy and cooperation, but underneath its the same ole, same ole "get him first" spirit.

We can never make a change for the better in our lives unless we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us. Now that would mean that we must obey Him and have His power to do what pleases Him, not the world.

The good news is: God will give us all the desire and the power to live a transformed life, if we let Him work in us.

Your write, I am most sure will bring about a debate...

Humans show foolishness; we are about to kill ourselves because of our gene pool.

I really don't care if I get criticized.. but I won't be beaten down, and I won't blame God for the evils of this world. We all need to start being responsible. After all, its our behind, in the end.. to either make it through those gates, or stand out side shouting, knocking, when our Father in heaven says to us, " I don't know you, " and turn His back on you.

Good write.. very subjective write.. your own personal viewpoint.. and my comment is to be respected.

Most of us look objectively at the facts then make decisions on those facts and not how we feel personally about those facts

Here is an example ..

If you witnessed a rear-end accident and the two people involved in the accident, one who was rear-ended is a loud mouth obnoxious individual and the person who rear-ended him is a sweet nice soft-spoken individual. The objective fact is, you hate the loud mouth, but he was the one rear-ended. And the sweet individual is guilty of the crime. That is the objective view.

Stop looking at things the way you would like them to be, that is being subjective.

Look at the facts and make the decision based on those facts, that is the objective view.

Subjectively you would not want the sweet person to be wrong, but the sweet person is wrong.

Thank you for this write.. very powerful and moving.
I am praying for soldiers, for the entire world, won't you help me.

I touched base lightly with my comment. I could write volumes on this topic.

Well! You certainly came through the door here with a bit of gusto! Welcome to YPDC (and by the way, I absolutely adore the user name you selected!)!

The point of your write is crystal clear and well presented. I've always found it sort of morbidly ironic that more wars have been fought in the name of religion than for any other reason (probably all other reasons combined, I'd suspect). It does seem.... backwards, really. Does reading this get me all fired up? Nah... it just makes me shake my head and feel that sort of confused sadness that I've grown accustomed to feeling when I stop and think about it, as I do from time to time. No... not fired up... but that isn't to say that I don't appreciate your point of view or that I entirely disagree with it. I'll always, always respect a soldier's opinion... recognizing, as one should, that they have seen and experienced things that the general public could not possibly imagine and are, very literally, infinitely closer to the fire so to speak.

Looking forward to reading more from you,
~Snemmy

Powerful magnificent write. What is it all about I question? Who is the one to give orders and what is their gain? For it is not the ones at the top that suffer it is the ones who fight who loose. War what is it good for. Who wants the land the oil the power.
Some do try to justify their revenge in the name of religion. The innocent suffer and lifes are taken for what cause.

The turmoils of this world are all predicted in the Bible. I'm more concerned about what comes after. This life is fleeting and full of pain, but it's only a grain of sand on a beach in comparison to eternity. I wouldn't want to leave this world without Christ at my side. He is the only one who can or will never leave us.
