Destruction lay all about her
decay and destruction
Beneath her,
the ground softens and sucks her feet
like quicksand
Obscene shapes cut oily shadows
on the boiling ground
Obscene shapes made from hulking stones
An unsettling noise rises
from within the ugly trees
increasing in volme until it sends spikes
sharp, metallic, spikes into her eardrums
as they threaten to implode from the assault
Screaming she notices this is a forest
a dying, bellowing fores
yelling it's envy for her beautiful life
She sees the gnarled branches reaching
for her, she screams
And is awakened
she pants from fear
It was a dream
