Panic attack

Contributed by darkscorpio on Thursday, 1st September 2005 @ 12:41:29 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Sitting in my hiding space
Bleeding tears, again my face
Contorts in pain, not from abuse
But from feeling trapped, can not get loose
I married for love, and had a child
Alone no more, saved from the wild
Years go by, the worries grow
The bills are high, esteem is low
Feeling numb and cannot breathe
Afraid to move, resentment seethes
Decision made, to break apart
Doubting questions, invade my heart
Where will we go, what scars will I lay
On my wife, and myself and my son so one day
He can hate me, like I hate my dad
Will he resent me forever, and be driven mad
By feeling the sting of abandonment
Even if it’s not the truth….

  • I found this deep and resonating..
The title drew my attention; because I used to have
panic attacks when I was young(er).

I love the way it all flows so smoothly,
yet the pain and indecision is apparent in this piece..

    Powerful write!

    *Hugs*

See, thats why I keep telling myself to marry for money not love. I can always have an affair. Just kidding man great poem and when you love someone it does not matter what material possesions you have even though bills stacking up is very frustrating, And has been the cause of many marital failures. And your son won't hate you if you show him the love and attention he needs. Even if by some chance she is telling him things that are not true. Great poem, very deep thanks for sharing.
