The Ocean

Contributed by Cupid on Wednesday, 31st August 2005 @ 09:31:43 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

The ocean,
So blue and alluring,
Deep and dark,
The magickal, mystical deep.
Ah! The sensual feeling of
The water on my dry skin!
My poor parched and dry skin!
The moisture puts the softness
Back in my body.
I feel elated! I’m going crazy
With the feel of the salty
Spray in my face.
Drifting, drifting,
Through the endless sea
Watching the mirror image of
The water above my head.
I dive into the smooth, cool,
Liquid. I dive until I can no longer
Hold my breath.
Oh! The beautiful sound of
Waves kissing the
Sandy shore!
I can’t help but be happy
Here. By the shores of the
Sea, comes the beginning of my
Life!
Set me free, oh, mother of the sea!

Nice Poem, reminds me of when I was in Panama City Beach Florida on spring break. Indeed, the ocean is beautiful and I could not help but be happy when I was near around it.

Yes the ocean is a beautiful and calming site....yet it has done some damage to the vitims near the gulf. So many do, not relise it is dangerous, as well as a beauty.! I would take the sea any time tho. Very nice write.
