A Travellers Night.
Woke up in another hotel room
in another strange town, soon this
night will be whispering morning
chill, you'll be a day older and
The same questions are unanswered.
At the dinner table you said that
Humility is: "To be grateful for
The little you have got and refrain
from boasting if you've got a lot"
An irony that sounded hollow now.
The town exhaled, rattled a window,
a street dog barked and the night
continued its journey towards dawn.
