Sometimes, I wish I was a tree

Sometimes I wish
I was a tree,
Just swaying,
all day in the breeze,

Sometimes I wish
I was a tree,
hanging around
birds all over me.

Sometimes I wish
I was a tree.
Because trees
they never leaves.

Sometimes I wish
I was a tree.
With a big thick root
For all to see.

Sometimes I wish
I was a tree,
But God help the dog
that pees on me.

Sometimes I wish
I was a tree.
Changing colours
constantly.

Sometimes I wish
I was a tree
But when I'm with you
I'm happy being me.
