The Darkness

Contributed by Caged Soul on Wednesday, 31st August 2005 @ 04:26:02 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Be your own misery, live your live like it’s supposed to be.

You can’t live your life as if life owes you the life you’re supposed to live.

That is the deception which has grabbed your attention,

causing you to kill the true bill of being to which you were born.

This deception has altered your perception,

leaving you choosing white over black,

resulting in the latter days your clear vision being hazed,

resulting in your premature decapitation,

living your live in the light that leaves you blind,

seeking the darkness you erased from you mind

You wonder why things don’t go your way.

Why situations always seem to leave you in disarray?

You try to be all that you can be, while all you get is “What’s wrong with me?”

You live your live trying to follow the idea that

live is a preconceived manuscript,

following a path IT finds fit,

resulting in your emergence as a prefabricated replica

of an age old identica.

Perceived as being the perfect being, leaving IT’s descendants

begging at their knees,

desiring to acquire this deception

in bounty.

Leaving their souls filthy with pure corrupted information

I must say I can relate to this more so than I care to admit.
This piece really pierced something I thought had necrosed and died.

“Be your own misery, live your live like it’s supposed to be.”
It is often difficult to live within yourself when it is hatred by which you are consumed by, when hate is the reflection in the mirror. The most difficult circumstance always seems easy, yet it is often not. This is an excellent point you have presented, here.

I have contemplated many similar concepts, most particularly the emphasis of “clear vision being hazed”. It is very figurative, very symbolical.

“living your life in the light that leaves you blind,
seeking the darkness you erased from you mind”

These lines, I appreciate the most. I can relate to… significantly.
And is most likely why I have chosen grey.

“Emergence as a prefabricated replica
of an age old identica.”

This basically summarises my entire philosophy, regarding socialisation and identity development. It is completely logical, some what eccentric and multifaceted.

“Leaving their souls filthy with pure corrupted information”
This sole line, means so much. Paradoxical.
Knowing is a burden, yet ignorance is sin.

You have won me over with this piece.

This is piece was a convoluted, intelligent and artistic read. Thank you for sharing :)
