On The Long Road

Contributed by Kay-Kay on Tuesday, 30th August 2005 @ 09:01:49 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Im on the long road to somewhere in this life of mine,
Im just tryin to move forward and keep myself in line.
Staying away from the wrong things and trying to do what's right,
I'm on the long road to somewhere and so far everything's alright.

Im on the long road to somewhere, where nothing ever goes bad,
Where everyone is happy and nobody is sad.
A place where everybody's friends and there's no such thing as hate,
Im on the long road to somewhere, where everything is great.

Im on the long road to somewhere to a place that i belong,
A place where i know that everyone will get along.
Where nobody has to hide behind someone they're not,
Im on the long road to somewhere, where everything good is what they got.

Im on the long road to somewhere in a place where the sun always shines,
A wonderful place to be where everything's divine.
I want to go to a place where when i die i can be with my friends,
Im on the long road to somewhere just waiting for my life to end.

All I have to say is that this poem is FABULOUS!
It has been a long time since I read a poem as good as this!
And I don't mean that all the other poems here stink or anything. I just mean that I haven't read any poems.
I was on vacation for two weeks and I haven't read or posted anything until now.
Anyroad, I LUFF this poem!
Please take a look at my poem called, 'I Ran Into Some Trouble On The Road To Nowhere.'
It's kind of the exact opposite of this inspiring and uplifting poem of yours.

All smiles,
Cupid
