I am now so dull.
I see only black swirls.
Deadly bright colours dare to give me away.
The wind is now sharp knives.
The sun is blinding.
Not even the clouds protect me anymore.
Thier voices now all the same.
Thier faces blurred together.
Kept isolated from them without even knowing.
All water is now poison.
All food has turned to ash.
Hunger and Thirst are my only friends.

This reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite movies, "The Christmas Carol"
"Beware of these two children the boy is ignorance the is want. . ." |

The excellence in the use of imagery is
more than obvious. I interpreted this poem to represent isolation in terms of the unwinding, and unfolding process
of grieving a loss until there is resolution. |
