When the cold dark night arrives
And strange shadows come alive,
When my hour glass, turns still,
Please remember me, my dear.
When my last breath is a sigh
And my soul races to the sky,
When for me the angels cry,
Please remember me tonight.
When they lower me in, deep
To the ground so I shall sleep
Where my body can’t be seen,
Please, my dear, remember me.
When my presence from our home
Lingers not. Exists no more,
Keep me in your memories.
Beloved, please remember me.
When a tear falls from your eye
Like a raindrop from the sky,
When endless this dark night may seem,
Please, my love, remember me.
But don’t mourn for me my love.
Here we’re not meant to stay for long.
Keep a smile for our memories.
Please, my love, remember me.

Reminds me of the Tim Mcgraw song. I liked it. |

How sweet...Like the one before me said, I was reminded of a Tim McGraw song, but only by the title really. Wonderful poem. |
