I look at you…
But you won’t even look at me
I tried to smile…
You looked back but refused to see
I’m in pain…
You ignored the tears in my eyes
I tried to cry…
You refused to hear my cries
I look down…
And my heart crumbles in sorrow
And I fall…
As if there is no tomorrow
I tried to stand…
With my knees shaking in fear
I tried to speak…
My words you refused to hear
“I’m sorry…”
But you began to walk away
I stopped…
And lost the words I wanted to say
I thought…
There’d be time to wait, until then
I’m still hoping…
That someday we’d be friends again.

To use the word Pathos for a title, I'm expecting something more subtle tying it together, other than cliché'd, inverted rhymes upon how one's trust gets trampled over in a one-sided friendship. Its obvious to me that you can rhyme, but in this write, you seem to want to use rhyme as a means of over-emphasising an obsessive quality to this friendship, which drowns out the appeal for me, as unfortunately, it then begins to seem more like a letter than a poem.
