Dead In My Mind

Dead inside my mind,
Life only around,
I walk down the road,
With emptiness slowly stirring at my heals,
Don't turn my head back,
Keep my eye's straight,
Our eye's are in the front,
So we look ahead not back,
Our past is the key to our futures,
So how is it a crime,
To walk away from you,
To walk away from the past,
Letting the pain go,
And not dying from the heartache,
The misery you caused me,
The pain of living under your hate,
The control you put on my emotions,
It gave me some strength,
I couldn't put it behind me then,
So why should I try now?

This was very good, but also very sad. I find sometimes it is the hurt filled things that are the toughest to leave behind. I enjoyed this a lot and I hope you can find your way.
