flooded my eyes
as he looked into
mine.
flooded my ears,
flooded my eyes.
The temperature fell
on the blossoming North,
flooded my veins
as I watched
the heat
rise

I like this. I don't share the obsession, but your poem is as a poem should be; simple, lyrical, and no longer than is needed. Good work.
