The world had forced the box be closed
Yet treasures vast inside
The gold and jewels stay never seen
Kept locked away to hide
This buried treasure stagnates, lost
Forever it remains
A heart inside a heartless shell
All pleasure touched with pain
But someday love will come with keys
To unlock inner dreams
To open boxes long forgotten
Rip sadness by its seams
The treasures then be dusted off
And shined, with value full
But until love will reach this box
The gold stays darkened, dull.

What an intersting way to see what's locked inside. I usually look at things the opposite way...where the dark secrets are locked behind the beautiful shells.
Interesting wrtie. Thought provoking.
