The girl lies veiled in a youthful beauty,
she's softly resting her innocent eyes.
Her fragile frame of fair complexion's draped
delicately over rose and rue and time.
Such a perfect scene! Such fine creation!
All she's ever known-
She sleeps alone as an undefiled
prisoner of solitude that can't cease.
Her heart beats true with songs of naivety,
He gazed in towards her and whispered so gently,
'O beautiful girl, O picturesque world,
you're lost in a dream-'
Dawn delivers a great awakening,
such a transcendent perspicuity.
Tenderly she raises forth her velvet hands
and peers out at another reality.
Sighs broken hearted, trapped isolated,
by perfidious glass.
A lone tear softly strokes her pale cheek;
pure bead of longing born of mournful eye.
And although beauty shall forever flourish,
she flies chained to lonliness, heartache and loss.
An innocence fled, a vision of Truth,
pressed up against pane.
