Nature's Embrace

Contributed by Lydia on Sunday, 28th August 2005 @ 07:37:15 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

It's the soft wind against my hair
the light breeze against my face
photographic memories
I just can't seem to place,

The soft crunch along the stones
my shadow along the ground
the wildlife around me
every sweet eccentric sound,

Every last whisper
of nature around me
so much beauty
for one to see,

Hands trickle in the water
feeling the liquid against my skin
ripples on the water
the day-dreaming mode i'm in,

Nature all around
the beauty everywhere
lost in such a sensation
having no care,

Walking along slowly
the footsteps in a perfect pace
a burning sunset across the sky
nature's perfect embrace,

Soon to be home
before it gets dark
pace begins to slow down
as I leave the park.

There is something so sensual about being alone with nature. I have always felt this. You put it in words very well.

I think you could easily change the line to the daydream I am in. Might give it more impact. Otherwise a great write.
