Invisibly Exquisite

Among the cinders
Beyond the dirt
Covered in dust
Amidst the hurt
A diamond somewhat
Out of place
But captured still
In the deadly embrace
So hard to see
With all the muck
Trapped unnoticed
Painfully stuck
And though it yearns
To soon be found
There's no one there
And not a sound
With every hope
It looses luster
The strength it has
Is hard to muster
But still it knows
That no one else
Can save it now
Except itself
