Love paints a picture but has no definition,
The future I see as a premonition,
Open my heart as though it’s a book,
Caught so much but still left with each hook,
Its been reeled and fought but the line always snaps,
So wrinkled and empty with holes and deep gaps,
You fill the cracks like no other can,
You would stand firm as others just ran,
Beside me forever like trees in the forest,
Gentle and loving just as a florist,
Knifes in your back continue to bleed,
A flower taken over by a menacing weed,
Sucking the life and taking advantage,
To much to bear and to much to manage,
Closing your eyes as each time it gets darker,
Its painting you black with a permanent marker,
Just grab my hand I can lead you out,
Away from the desert I can end the drought,
I see where you’ve been I have been there before,
Lost in the ocean I see an island shore,
All the ups and downs from the waves disappear,
On stable ground with nothing to fear,
We climb the island peak as high as we can,
We never go down and here we just stand,
Overlooking the troubles that haunted our past,
A beautiful place we have found at long last.
