this vision so surreal the sun shining over a lake so calm
the morning birds singing there harmonious song
i awake from my tent in the shade the mountain casts
drawing this vision hoping its beauty will last
coffee on brew as a eagle soars by
free from this stress floating so high
i walk to the creek the babble of the brook
washing my tumoil the sins that i took
look in the distance a doe that i see
curiosity getting the better it walks to me
i sit and we stare a silence so serene
the breath from this beast so crisp in the air
looking at the colours the joy so fair
this is just one day of many to be
i will write them down for all to see

Oh I liked this, hey it is like your diary!
Keep them coming, what a different way to write poetry, at libraries! Where would we be without them!

Sounds like a superlative way to spend time. I have myself considered taking off into the Unknown for a bit. May your path continue to lead to inspiration, as this fine piece shows it clearly has.

You are indeed a lost relic---Glad I found your poetry.
I went with your words and felt as if I were walking with you.
I could feel and breath the fresh morning air, wash away my sins in the babbling brook.
I could see an eagle high and almost touch the doe.
The colors touched my soul.
What a wonderful,beautiful,poem.
Thanks for your sharing : )
