Oh dear stars of the starry night,
How I wish to be upon your might
Hovering above all that live here
Just up there, without any fear
Floating so freely without a care
While I’m stuck here, it’s not fair
When ever I die (even if it’s suicide)
I want to end up in the night sky
I want to be a star of the night
And then everything will be right
Oh sure, I won’t be a pretty one,
I’ll be dull and boring, but it’ll be fun
To be up in the sky shining on all
I will always fulfill the star’s call,
Giving you light throughout the night
I’ll be a proud part of the starry light
How I wish to be upon your might,
Oh dear stars of the starry night

Stars are beautiful and can tell alot.! To know a star is shining brightly and looked upon as, well.! To just sit, in the dark, and look.................take all in........such a sight, and soothing thing.!

There is something magical about the way the stars are so perfectly, yet randomly, placed in the night sky. I like others---have spent many nights contemplating them. I wanted to know how a star was born, how long a star shines and why are they in the location that they are?
I think to be a star once would be like hanging from the top of the world and seeing pictures--vivid pictures--that are mind has yet to fathom/grasp.
Wonderful poem.

Wow, this is beautiful! I love this piece Sprints. Twinkling stars will always provide for great imagery, and how could a star be boring?
Have you ever heard this thought before---each star is a human soul, lighting the path for us lost ones: )
Excellent write girly!

you are a star...
on YPDC! lol....
Loved your poem and I love stars...they seem too pretty to be just for looking at and shining the nights sky, wonder if they are there for any other purpose?
