Forgetting to Forget

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Saturday, 27th August 2005 @ 06:29:36 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

Your smile (((beats))) like the silhouette of a flower,
Creating an image without a face,
Only vague illusion of a hidden yearning...

The night gazes at me with tremulous/// eyes,
Murmuring of a distant memory...
I don't feel like bleeding today,
All I want to do is drown in dreams of your scented kisses...

But, like always, my fingers get the better half of me,
This ancient pen spitting out my emotions without asking...
Perhaps... I enjoy being undressed...

I... don't... know...

I have already forgotten everything,
Which I think it's the same as nothing...
I have already forgotten to forget,
And the torrent of humid recollections cast liquid shadows upon my eyes,
I am left weeping dry tears,
Broken and beautiful on the floors of despair...

This trembling solitude is choking me with its silken claws of red algae and anguish,
An ocean of voices fills my lungs with ebony foam,
Droning acrid prayers and flashes of sadness...

A rosary of thorns bites into my hands,
Reminding me that I am still living,
As I look up to the crest fallen sky and scream,

WHERE ARE YOU?!

But all I receive is the same answer,

(((((((((SILENCE)))))))))

Martyrdom hides itself in the crosses,
And my faith, at long last, folds into nothing...
I begin to start when I finish.
Or, I only end when I begin, like dreams...
I don't know.

It's still raining dark colors inside my soul,

Blue.
Black.
Red.

{Colors that don't hide anything...}
Just like yours...

And if forgetting forms part of us,
How will I remember you?

-Like a seven.

Ah, yes...

It's all coming back to me now...

I liked it alot then it hit me that I was ready now to read the book. Then it made me want to just jump into the bed with you and free you of all your lonely sins and go to some garden some place in the world next to a water fall and swim deep under the water into a kiss. Then smile!

A deluge of unfinished emotions written in an attractive literary package, yet so transparent, an open book of heartfelt regrets, and yet manages to present the heart with out any degusies, brilliant as always . . .

Hugely emotional, and well written. As far as such emotions can be expressed on the page in their rawness, you do it well.

May your faith not fall and hope find you, soon.

Beautiful Steph this is a masterpiece as
always you seem to have an endless pool of
talent that never runs out.

"I am left weeping dry tears,
Broken and beautiful on the floors of despair..."

Those two lines are so expressive and just
broke my heart. Wow I don't know what else
to say.

*hugs and flowers*,
Joel

Wow, Steph ... I'm not really sure what to say about this write. I find myself reading and rereading each line. Drawn in by the imagery and drowning in the colors.

Beautifully written

*hugs*
Shannon
