All the things she couldnt do

She laughed, but she didnt have one of those giggles like all the pretty girls did. You know, the kind that made everyone turn around to see who it was coming from. She was just an ordinary girl, nothing special, nothing worth a second glance. But for some reason, he gave her one. For once, he made this girl feel pretty, like she might even be worth something. He made her smile, a real smile, and that was a skill not many people possesed. He calmed her without a single word. All he had to do was live, and breathe. That was enough for her. She knew it would never last, but she knew better to pass it up. Anyone would be stupid to pass it up, to pass him up. He was one of a kind. Which also meant he was kind of the one. She didnt get to see him too often, mostly just in her dreams, but that was enough. She hoped that one day that would change. The moments he was actually with her even more rewarding than you can imagine. He always had the same scent to him. She could never quite figure out out what it was, but she liked it, simply it was HIS scent, and it lingered on her things. He was the kind of boy that had soul. All she had to do was look at him, and his eyes told her all the things he couldnt. There were lots of things he couldnt tell her, but she figured out a lot of it. He was easily the most complicated boy she had ever encountered, but she tried as hard as she could to figure out the secrets behind his eyes. Sometimes she was wrong about things, but other times she was dead on. It scared him sometimes, and she knew it. She wished she knew the right words to say to make him happy, the way he made her happy. Time after time she tried, but continuously failed. It made her feel terrible, worthless. Somedays she wanted to tell him to just go and find someone who knew how to take care of him in all the ways she couldnt. But the thought of another girl making him happy was almost enough to make her sick. All she could do was hope that someday her efforts would pay off in a big way. For now, thats all she could do. But it would never be enough. And deep down, she knew it.
