Do you remember
my seventh Christmas?
The one you were never there for...
The last thing you sent me
it sits on my shelf
glaring from above.
You said youd be back.
You said you loved us...
Yet you left us,
so alone.
I dream every night
of what you might look like
but a dream, is only a dream.
Will I ever see your face?
Will I ever touch your hand;
or tell you that I love you...
hug you and kiss you?
I still see you as my boy brother
yet I know youll be back a man

Oh, this is so tragic!! I am so sorry for your loss, and hopefully, one day your brother will come home...I like the way you wrote this piece, and expressed yourself. Good job.

This is a very moving piece. I only turned my hand to writing poetry a few months ago, so really I know very little about the genre, but this poem was very touching in my opinion.
