Death takes us apart

Grief

My mind keeps wandering,
Something is not right today,
Then I hear the news as a flash,
You cannot be dead,
How could you stop breathing?
Another person took your life?
I mourn but your skin is too cold…
No pulse can be felt,
I disagree with everyone…
You cannot be dead,
Talk to me Naomi like we did yesterday?
All I hear is your jokes,
Your life cannot end…
It is too soon,
It is too abrupt,
You will never see me get married?
You were not suppose to die,
We were suppose to grow together,
You cannot be dead.

I wish there was something more I could say other than I am sorry for your loss. Death comes and it takes away our loved ones, but hopefully we will see them again. |
