I think this would make a good children's song. Some of the words would be too hard for young children, but their parents could read it to them telling them what those words meant. For me If I was a father i would sing this song to my child.
Crying molting I am a bird
Sobbing sinking within the mud
Covered with the dirt of the world
Caught in a terrible trap
But then a hand comes down unto me
It cleans off the mud that was on my my wings
He dusts off the dirt that was on my head
and untangles me from the trap
Flying soaring up in the sky
Singing shouting as life goes by
Until I crash in the trap again
and father bird comes down to save me
I cry save me
Dad save me
I'm sinking in mud and I can not escape
Dad save me
Dad save me
He picks me up gently in hand
I chose a father bird for a very specific reason which I will not say. Knowing my writing the reader should be able to figure this out.
There are 2 other songs I have written that fall in the children's song catagory "Look out your window" and "Lullabuy"
