Two minds one heart, in a straight line
For many years, while ignoring the signs
Parallel existence moving forward as one
Before we realized the damage was done
Change of direction to better one part
The lines start to change, and so did the heart
Add a new line to the circle of two
Intersect the differences, not sure what to do
The lines grow more distant, direction has turned
Lines feel betrayal, hearts feeling burned
Lines start to blur as the love is erased
But the third line’s in the middle and it feels out of place
Two separate lines growing further apart
And the third line’s all that’s left in linking two minds with one heart

I really enjoyed reading your poem. I liked the rhyme scheme, it just seemed to flow as I read it. I can relate to how you feel. I to usually feel like the line in the middle. Great write. Keep it up.

bye,
