Just You

Contributed by TheOne on Tuesday, 14th January 2003 @ 11:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

No matter the distance
Between your heart and mine
The heartstrings we've entwined
Still hold true, even now.

Together with you
Turning one heart to 2
Yeah, yeah...

This is the way I've wanted to feel
For the longest time
And I never want another
Just you to call mine

Thinking about you
Every minute of the day
My heart beats with a love-struck delay
Just to beat with yours

Together with you
Turning one heart to 2
Yeah, yeah...

This is the way I've wanted to feel
For the longest time
And I never want another
Just you to call mine

Just you, baby, Just you
No one else but you...
No one else...yeah...

Interesting effect this poem had on me... By writing the repeating lyrics it gave the effect of a song while the topic and words being upbeat caused me to be filled with a joy and happiness that most poems fail to inspire. Excellent work.
