Love as it should be.

Topic: LovePoetry

Too often I've found myself wishing
For love, Thinking this feeling will bring happiness.

It's not that this feelings been missing,
It's just that I have been wishing
for this love to come from a woman

I have enveloped myself
with an intense worry
I want to find love
and in a hurry
but this feeling
for which i've been searching
is blurry
-for it's not love i want at all

With selfish ambition
I gave myself permission
to believe my disposition
was a normal condition

It isn't love that I want,
for love is at my fingertips.
Yet i'm blinded from the blood they drip...
I'm befuddled from the wine i sip
and my attention's brought back to myself

This is not a normal condition,
For envy and lust is sin
Leaving me vulnerable again
When will I realize salvation lies within?

I've a love letter that was wrote for me,
if i opened my heart, then i could truly see-
that this love that's been offered is indeed free

Free of struggle,
Free of pain,
This love's genuine
This love is gain

But this love can't be offered from a woman.
This love will be offered when I'll truly believe,
with all my heart, soul and being.
Then my fingers will heal and i will be seeing
and living, life as it should be.
Life as it could be if I'd forget about me.

I can relate to this poem, I understand how you are feeling, I think I know what you mean by love with restraints do you mean freinds with benefits? I've been through that deal before, I felt insecure about myself thought because it happened but it really did not mean anything, did not mean anything to eachother when I did that. That is why it is so confusing, the best thing you can do is if you really think you have a chance for love and your body knows it your mind knows it and your heart knows it, if they all feel right then try to go for it. A very soul searching write. You have indeed taken a step toward a more mature outlook about love. But don't worry about it so much, when the time is right, you will know.
