An age of ecstasy,
Mould grows,
And within the complex confinds of our brain
We groan.
Not a shadow or a sigh disturbs us,
A distant Lark or Finch sings,
Upon pale blue skies;
A cloudless horizon dawns,
Slowly without cause or alarm
A figure hovers almost motionless in the foreground.
A swallow flies by.
The faint movement of the water
Like a needle through silk
And a rustle of the leaves
Leads me back to reality.

I really like this poem, the imagery is really beautiful. The only line that doesn't seem to fit is "mould grows" but maybe I'm just taking it the wrong way. Anyway, great write, keep it up!

This takes me back some 20yrs ago when I lived up north on the river. Wonderful memories, beautiful and discriptive. Peace. |
