Last Kiss

I kiss the fresh drops of blood from your familiar lips,
tasting only bitterness on your tongue -
Gone is the sugary venom of true loves bite.
Yet to retract my initiation is to bridge that
intimate gap between our past and future,
to deprive myself that pleasure; this pain.
Spare me the crusty edges of solemn sympathy-
I decide the outcome of this treachery,
our downfall my last rite to you.
I say when you might pull away,
when it is safe to breathe again,
when the bright blood of the last kiss has dried,
Only then will I set you free.

This is a very powerful write, I like it a lot. The wording and phrases you use are perfect to get the image of complete and final power across. Very good work, keep it up!
