The frail thing that is sanity

Contributed by Rawjer on Tuesday, 14th January 2003 @ 10:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Pursuing his quest to collect another body
a sick minded individual who has no self worth
selfish in his ways, selfish to this day
searches for another victum in a near by alley
looking for another body to add to his vicious talley
he hides amoung the shadows

he likes the rush of the kill
he likes to feel the skin on his skin
not bothered by the thought of cutting someone up
but he cant get these damn voices to shut the hell up

murder is the game he plays
and he just cant get enough
crazed visions run through his head
shut his eyes to the world around
creeping down the alley he does not make a sound
psyched out in so many ways
for every day he lives a little more he pays

lived his life in nothing but torment
when his only friend left his sanity went
behold the frail thing that is sanity
tasted blood once and now cant turn back even if he wanted

punished by the one he relied upon
holds his head in shame and wonders what he's done
this cannot be I cannot take it anymore
he's lived too long, he's lived so wrong

thise messsed up train of thoght is killing me
his only sane moments just drive him that more crazy
he sits with his eyes closed
whats gonna happen when his deeds are exposed
what then, what then, what then

with a burnt out light that lives in him
he has no way back no way of escape
just keep him in check and metally rape him

is there a solution to his on-going problem
is there somway that they can solve them
but they cant for its too late
the sickness has spread through him just like poison
infecting his brain and losing his sane
shackled up life just like he does to the bodies
they are a reflection of how he feels inside

but now its done
they found out what he's up to
take him away, lock him away
and do what need to be done
the frail thing that is sanity
he'll die with the setting of the sun

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
