I REALIZE

I REALIZE
Today I woke up and I realize
It seem to come as a surprise
I realized that the doors of opportunity are closing
And that my time is shortening

I come to realize my dreams will never be a reality
They’re just unsung songs and fantasy
A picture in my mind that’s now turning blurry
Until I can no longer notice and now I worry

I come to realize that every turn has a dead end
And that my greatest enemy was my friend
He stabbed me in the back and twisted
He played me like a fiddle

I come to realize that I cry more than I smile
Last time I did it was a while
I look up to the sky but the rain falls on me
Always making the path hard to see

I come to realize that love is just another way to hurt somebody
It isn’t nothing but a messed up party
Starts great but it always ends up
With u face down screaming “it’s enough”

I come to realize that I have people who listen
I realize my life ain’t missing
I come to realize that through all the pain
Happiness is all I gain

True be told you know what I really come to realize
That life has love and its always a surprise

This is a true poem. At first it seemed like you were giving up on life but I think you are searching. I hope you find the joy that life has to offer.
