Red Clouds (hear my plead)

Dark reddening clouds they hang over me
Draping their darkness so I cannot see
A storm of such splendor brews up in the skies
As a drop of blood falls to my eyes
Raindrops they fall, congealing blood
Drowning me in a deepening flood
Thickening heavens, I cannot breathe
The clouds are ablaze in all of their seethe
Existing a world now blemished to red
Still lingering clouds above my head
Discolored skies, please hear my plead
Pour your red raindrops down into me

I think you meant "plea in your title and verses. The meaning I get from this poem is a life lost of it's meaning searching to get it back. That is a great concept. |
