how come we know
about the suffering
we've seen the pictures
we've seen it happening
yet we turn away
pretend everything's fine
when all the while
thousands are dying
countries are starving
they've no food or clean water
diseases at large
innocent people they slaughter
we have the means
to change the earth
give mothers a chance
to live after childbirth
but we turn away
from these people in need
instead of helping them
doing a good deed
we have the power
if together we combine
if only we would
give up some of our time
i dream of a time
when peace rules the land
and we work together
hand in hand
everyone is equal
there's no unfairness
the untired world united
and filled to burst with happiness
but that's not the would
in which we live
as we do the taking
but 'forget' to give
if only peace
could grace our sould
instead of the greed
that turn our hearts into coal
so why not?
why don't we make things fair?
it's because we're selfish
we don't seem to care
break the habbit
answer my plead
and help those people who are in need
only together cane we
bannish poverty to the past
let rainbows paint the sky
and be untited at last
