REMEMBER ME

Contributed by bluedragonfly on Wednesday, 24th August 2005 @ 01:17:35 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I hear him laughing
It's all in my head
I can't hold back the tears
As I start to cry
I will never tell him
Good bye
Then I heard him say
In a calming voice
Remember me with Laughter
Remember all the good years
If you can only
Remember me with tears
I wish you would not
Remember me at all
I was the one
Who taught you
To stand tall
To hold your head up high
To tell you the truth
I tried to teach you
Not to lie
I have loved you
Since the day you were born
My little girl
You will always be
So with laughter
Remember me

This was so sweet, what wonderful sentiment. A testament to all those
who lose someone and struggle to remember them with smiles and love.
Awesome poem.

What a breathtaking tribute. Remembering can bring such sweet sorrow.
