HOSS

Topic: dedicatedpoems

Lately I've been watching reruns.
Old shows about a man with three sons.
In 1972 we faced a great loss.
I'm talking about the death of Dan Blocker better known as Hoss.

I enjoy watching these reruns but I'm not a huge Bonanza fan.
I wasn't alive when it originally ran.
Hoss is my favorite character on the show.
Bonanza was made nearly half a century ago.

I wonder what Blocker would be doing now if he wasn't dead.
He was a big man and he was talented.
Blocker died because of surgical complications.
His death saddened the nation.

I know who you're talking about, my mom's parents watched the show, i'm not sure who exactly like Hoss it was either her mom or her dad, my mom likes the show to, she watches the re runs once in awhile, i've never really took time to watch the show but i'm sure it's good. Nice write. SLipSiX.

This is a great dedication. I used to watch Bonanza. I think it was still around when i was young. Your poem shows that you have a great respect for other artists

Hey, Bonanza was one of my favourites shows when I was a kid. I loved all the brothers each for his own talent. Pernell Roberts, Michael Landon and of course, good old Dan Blocker.
Thanks for bringing back such good memories for me with this awesome write. I wish they'd bring some reruns here.
