how come?

Contributed by xXxmegsxXx on Tuesday, 23rd August 2005 @ 07:12:25 AM in AEST
Topic: self-harmpoetry

how come it's always raining?
how come there's no light?
how come this world is full of sadness?
how come day's the same as night?
how come i always mess things up?
how come i hurt other people?
how come my life's filled with darkness?
how come i wish i'd jump of a church's steeple?
how come there's no hope for me noow?
how come i can't break free?
how come i feel such loneliness?
how come no one cares for me?
how come my only comfort is the blade>
how come pain's my only escape?
how come sadness grips my heart?
how come misery's my fate?
how come i can't sleep at night?
how come all the time i want to cry?
how come i resort to the knife
how come i'm me no matter how i try?

"During days of Jesus' life on earth he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death and he was heard because of his reverant submission. Although he was a son he learned obediance from what he suffered." Hebrews 5:7-8

This is my answer to your question. I know this is not an easy answer for me to tell you to endure and fight against your own heart. I had to show you some one who did it already. I want you to know that you are not alone. It is easier to quit, but I hope that you don't. I hope you don't feel God is your enemy he is not.

Your poem is a good self reflection poem. I think about my own life in similar ways.
