Got my toothbrush.
And I'm in a rush.
Got my suitcase.
And my happy-face.
Got my American Express.
And my Visa checks.
Got my nice clothes.
And my paradise nose.
Got my shoes for walking.
And my excuse for talking.
Got my passport photograph.
Now, all I gotta do,
Is export my belly laugh.
Ready to go,
Cross the border.
Out of the country.
Into another land,
Of exotic beauty.
Opening her borders,
From sea to sea.
Open her arms for me.
Let me hold her,
Take in her charms,
Lazily.
Paradise to embrace me,
A place to lose my heart.
I hope she'll keep it safe for me.
While I am there,
Funky tourist shirts,
That's what I'll wear.
They'll laugh 'till it hurts.
But I don't care.
It's one of the perks,
Of being in love,
With the ground at her feet,
And the sky in her hair.
Let me travel her.

this poem certainly captures vividly the excitement and anticipation of a tourist venturing into where he has never been before.
Enjoyed the personification of the new country, author almost likens it to a (blind) date:
...Into another land, /Of exotic beauty./Opening her borders,/From sea to sea. /Open her arms for me./Let me hold her,
Take in her charms...
and so, further down...
...It's one of the perks, /Of being in love,/With the ground at her feet, /And the sky in her hair. /Let me travel her.
