Even though I’m so close to you
And you pour your life out to me
Your hardships you confide
Stories of timeless descending
And yet I’ll never tell you of mine
The pain of compromise
Even if it’s a slow demise
It brings me down
Torturing me with a soft laughter
Shadows lurking in every smile
And when you hold me close
Telling me of the countless woe
I hold on tight and never want to let go
Maybe you're my anchor to sanity
Or maybe I’m too unsure to go crazy
I want to be released from the nothingness
But I’m too afraid to give in to me
So hold me close
Please don’t ask me questions
I can’t even answer myself

Its weird though, I was going to go write a poem titled dont leave me, and it seems simular to this. well good write and even when you think you cant take another step, take it and be strong.
