Tears fall into my lap
as reality sets in.
I wasn’t expecting what happened.
I wasn’t expecting it to end.
I thought we were doing better,
and everything was going to be ok.
But instead of us lasting longer,
the opposite took place.
New blood streams out of the cuts
that are carved into my wrists.
I really did try to hold myself back,
but my heart just can’t take this.
I can’t eat and I can’t sleep.
All I’ve done is cry.
Waves of tears come one after another,
my cheeks cannot stay dry.
As I sit here trying to think
about what I’m supposed to do,
The only thing that clicks
is how much I care about you.
I wanted you for my own,
and in return you wanted the same.
It feels like once I got you,
I just got caught back in the rain.
As I sit here in hurt and pain,
I think only about you.
And hope that maybe
you're thinking of me too.

deep and touching write......i can very much relate to your thoughts of despair over unexpectatly losing the one you love....like you also I honestly couldn't eat or sleep or do anything for that matter...and I cut myself to try and heal my inner pain....
it's only now( about 7 months later) the pain has only just subsided....but its still there.....especially when I read poems like this....I can completely empathise with your pain dear poet....
this was an AMAZING poem, powerful and does touch my heart..... well done....
please hang in there okay...you can get through this |

| I loved this its very relateable to most, not everyone cuts, but the pain of hut and heartach is universal |
