on the other side

Topic: toughstuff

i stayed in this same area for so long that now i realized that i only as a person has camed down
when i speak i look to the ground without a smile but a sad face or a frown
but i guess its time for me to start running
not from myself this time but from my troubles, the lies , the words of others
i know inside of myself is where i need to search farther
for years i struggled to become the person who i am
i failed
alot i have failed, and now i am starting to give a damn
i can't let my mother do it alone
i was told to hold on
but it is so hard to be strong
i pray and i pray
still praying, still praying
but nothing is happening, it seems as if i am being punished for everything
i can't smile and i can't even sing
so now i realize that i have to continue on with myself
i don't want to struggled but i will continue until death
will it get better from all of these years
i don't know
i'm caught in fear
i'm not ready for this ride, but i am going to crank up my car and leave
not just go anywhere, but i am going where its better
i going to heal my soul
i'm going where the grass is much more greener on the other side
