a gentle rest

Who is there among us
that dares scale the fierce face
of the dream that doth return
before the light of day
For it is here in our slumber
that we come for gentle rest
and to lay at last ones burdens down
Refuge taken against a world
often cold and lacking in
the comfort sought by the soul
Longing of the heart
to fill the need of a doubtful mind
and to lay at ease
the worries of another day
