The Boy and the flute

Contributed by Fernanda_F_Rocha on Sunday, 21st August 2005 @ 07:34:22 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

He sits down on the sand
And speaks to the sea
That calms
Coming gently
To kiss his feet

His fragile fingers
Take the flute to His lips
and of it echoes
the sweetest melody

The little fish
they jump expedite
as if called to see
who plays like that

In such a vast stage
They jump cheerfully
Drawing in the air the notes
that leave from the flute

Far away, in the high sea
the mermaids wake up
Charmed with that magic sound
And come to join
Filling the Night
With their beautiful songs

The flashing beacon of the lighthouse
dancing happily
an array of colours
On that life stage
That was being born
On a moonlight night
by the sea.

This is beautiful. I love the images it creates, and I can even imagine the music.

You have created a beautiful scene here, one that I won't forget for a while.

Good write,
*hugs* Phil xxx

Your imagery is mesmerizing. Being a lover of the sea and a believer of fantasy I could visualize it so easily. What an exquisitely delightful evening that would be. Thank you. I truly enjoyed this.

Smiles,
Rita
