Depression is Hidden by a Smile

Contributed by Shattered_soul on Sunday, 21st August 2005 @ 05:35:44 AM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

You ask me what is wrong,
and I tell you that Im fine.
I hide it with a smile
but you see it in my eyes.

You know Im not fine
yet you let me be.
Dwindling in my depression...
becoming scared of me.

You dont push me
to tell my story,
and I respect that greatly.

Pain piercing through my heart.
tearing my soul apart.
Sadness overwhelming me
plundging deep within.

I cant take this anymore,
nothing seems to help.
Everytime I think Im fine
a greater pain is delt.

You shouldn't hide. Not this much anyway. I learnt the hard way.

Don't hide behind a smile, be honest. And don't give up on being happy.

This is a good write, it lets it out a little, doesn't it? I'm sure this can help others as well as yourself.

I can relate to this, having had similar feelings before, and you described it well.

Good write.

you shouldn't hide from the people who might care and ask if everything is okay.

you always feel better after you let it all out

if you wanna talk im always here

This is so very well written for me..
I can 100% relate to this..

"Pain piercing through my heart.
tearing my soul apart.
Sadness overwhelming me
plundging deep within.

I cant take this anymore,
nothing seems to help.
Everytime I think Im fine
a greater pain is delt."

All we can do is pray someday to let go of this sadness we have inside..

Look and see , try opening up to what is bothering you. yes, sometimes it helps to be withdrawn.because I know when i dont share, I am trying to spare ppl and from getting them down. But.......95% of the time.it helps. to share!
So try and find one way or another......whether, it be...by writing and telling all of us, or it be finding one and spilling the soul.! Good luck.....and keep smiling, but for YOUR self.!

Brew~

I like it, it describes me so well... I guess you and me have somethings in common. The poem is really good, and it's written well. You're a good writer, keep expressing yourself.

Great write, The feelings expressed here are done so very well. Smiles can hide so much, but eyes are the windows to your soul.
