The New Girl

There is this new girl at my school,
She almost never breaks any rules.
She has average grades and is very sweet,
But there is a problem with this girl, you see.
She sits in class, crying inside,
She keeps a straight face, wishing she’d die.
“The world hates me,” she says to herself.
“All they care about is popularity and wealth.”
She doesn’t know what to do and is losing her mind,
“Can someone please stop me, and press rewind?”
If she could do things over she certainly would,
And she wishes every day that she could.
But what does wishing really do for you?
People sit around wishing for the truth.
But the truth is right there in front of me.
I don’t understand why these people can’t see.
Sadly this poem is all true,
And that girl still sits in her room,
Crying, and wishing, and hoping to die,
But wishing is just a hearts unloved cry.

You seem very sensitive, great write, and it sucks that so many people feel that way. Hugs! Keep writing |
