October Sky

What are you doing now?
I wonder how
your life is going.
I'm stuck here not knowing.
I'm not alright.
I'm waiting on my flight
out to california.
I left today.
I guess this is my final goodbye.

Walk under the October Sky.
I start to cry.
The cold wind blows
You are gone, I know.
The leaves blow around
my tears hit the ground
I think of us together
and of last October.

I pull my jacket closed
the wind grips me tight
walk through life with eyes closed
walk away from the light
get away from here
drive for hours on end
I've lost all fear
You've always been my friend

The silence is the hardest part of October

Ashes to ashes dust to dust
Tell me how to trust
myself again
all this pain
comes flooding back
This Oct sky fades to black
I pick up the pieces of my past
I try to put them back together
again to get back to her

The colour of autumn in the trees
when I think of you I can barely breathe
when you said goodbye I could have died
I'm under the Oct sky buried neath
the silencethis is my final goodbye
I'll never think of you agian
that's probably a lie
