When I think of you
And the times we share
I give thanks to God
That he put you there
Our friendship is indeed
No more worse for the wear
With all that we've been through
I still know that you care
I thank my God
Each time I remember you
Any hour of the day
Everytime I think of you
I give thanks as I pray
When I think of you
And the price you paid
The lessons you taught
The promise you made
The sins you had to bear
The life you freely gave
Your final sacrifice
It's me you died to save

Well I have not read the Bible, (I DO believe in God) , but I just love this poem and it touched my heart!!!

This is an excellent tribute to a brother you love so dearly. I wonder from the poem if he was a military hero? Whatever, he was a hero to you and I know this poem means a lot to him.
