Misty morning memories
through dawns' early light
As another rising sun
brings an end to night
All my worries and my sorrows
now belong to yesterday
as I wake to find tomorrow
has now become today
And the dreams that once filled
a night of fitful sleep
long have since been faded
and no longer do I weep
As the day begins to brighten
with the rising of the sun
My battles fought, now over
as another day's begun.

i can picture a battlefield with haunting mist on it while reading this. good imagery - the rhythm supports the feeling well. |
