The price you pay

Topic: AmericanTragedy

Our hearts do mourn in sorrow
Our heroes we lay to rest
For those who’ve gone before us
Have past life’s greatest test

Their courage it stood before them
As they fought to pave the way
To sure the shores of freedom
Liberty’s’ price they had to pay

Their gifts will live forever
In the memories of our mind
Their faith in truth and justice
Their belief in all mankind

But there is a growing darkness
That over comes the dawn
Shadows cast upon the price of liberty
As it lies on freedoms lawn

It dares to front against us
And try us once again
To put us all at arms
Our homes we must defend

And so we stand together
As we have in time now past
To fight once more for freedom
Ensuring that it will last.
